O Primo Basílio ("Cousin Bazilio") is one of the most highly regarded realist novels of the Portuguese author José Maria de Eça de Queiroz. Uma leitura de requinte, não é tão densa como os Maias e apesar de trabalhar menos temas acho que o Primo Basilio é a melhor obra do Eça. É um terror psicológico, facilmente comparado a um crime e castigo do Dostoiviéski.
