Okay, so the Illiad was a bit of a slog to get through, but I'm glad that I pushed through because the Odysey was a much more engaging read. It makes reference to some other stories (such as the Labours of Hercules) that I now need to read, and the story just kind of came to an abrupt stop. There was a major plot point that didn't get resolved, so I'm sure there's more I'll have to read.
Still, it was a great read. I wish I'd read it sooner.
