On re-reading this for the second time (my first was back in about 2012 when I was still in college), I forgot how many themes are interwoven into the plot. there is definitely parallels between the clown Pennywise, and Satan. The context is even more potent when actually reading about the author's faith. He is a Christian, and this novel demonstrates that.

One of the best guides for helping Christians overcome their difficulties. we oftentimes forget, God is there. In this book, Blake gives examples for most scenarios that we run into, along with a method to fix it. The hardest thing about this is, after reading it, how many of us will put his advice into practice? I plan to.

I have certainly read a lot of fantasy novels in my life, and this one is one of the most unique takes I have seen yet on the idea of enchantment/magic. If you love stories where both male and female characters are portrayed as equals, then, you will certainly appreciate this one, I think. So, take this leap and fall into the amazing lives of one brother and sister, both with a dream to fulfill, and watch them accomplish amazing things in a world torn asunder by those who are supposed to be trusted.
